Vonnie Sorenson went home to glory on August 10, 2026, at Banner Hospital from heart complications.
Born on May 6, 1931, to parents James Henry and Maggie Asby in Rosepine, Louisiana. She was the youngest of six girls.
Vonnie moved to Portola, Ca. to live with her sister and brother-in-law in 1947, where she met her future husband, Robert Sorenson. Bob and Vonnie were married on November 24, 1948, and were married until Bob’s death in 2002.
Vonnie is survived by her daughters Linda (Dale) and Denise (Robie). Grandkids Joslin (Reuben), Andy (Jamie) and Nick (Kara). Great Grandchildren Logan, Kegan, Nichole, Kolby and Cali. She also had a much-loved church family.

Celebration of Life will be at His Dwelling Place, 425 Ash Street, Susanville, on August 22, 2026, at 1 p.m.
