On Thursday, November 16th, officers with the Susanville Police Department conducted an anti-theft detail at Walmart and according to SPD Captain Michael Bengoa-Bollinger the operation, with the assistance of WalMart employees, was a big success.
Here are the results of the operation:
Four individuals were contacted for suspicion of committing theft. These individuals were identified and released with no citations issued.
A 27-year-old Susanville resident and a 22-year-old Susanville resident were arrested and transported to the Lassen County Jail for shoplifting and conspiracy to commit a crime.
A 56-year-old Standish resident was arrested for shoplifting and resisting arrest. The subject was cited and released at the scene.
A 40-year-old Redding resident was arrested for shoplifting after discovering he was changing price labels on items and purchasing them at a lower price. A subsequent search of his vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded Glock handgun and suspected Fentanyl.
He was taken to the Lassen County Jail and booked into the jail for violation of probation, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a controlled substance.
Captain Bengoa-Bollinger thanked Walmart and its employees for all the assistance they provided.
