Kendra Zaengle just showed up in my life one day. It was in the midst of covid. And there she was. Helping with the Dancing for A Brand New Me fundraiser.
She showed up at a meeting, and it was instantly evident that Ms. Kendra was doer. Someone that was solution based, because mind you in the midst of the pandemic… everything was problem based.
And there she was. Providing solution after solution about what could be done to and what she would do to help Lassen Family service get their biggest fundraiser under way.
I don’t know where Kendra was before, or what she was doing, but I am so glad our paths intersected. I am not quite sure what Kendra’s exact role at LFS is, and that is only because she is always there, and seems to know a lot about all the jobs and roles.
Aside from the Dancing For a Brand New Me, Kendra is an ever present force for the their fun runs, and other outreach programs such as their Walk-a-Mile in their Shoes event.
You don’t put the effort into the events like she does because she gets paid to do it. The effort I see her putting into these events is because she is a wonderful human who generally cares about the causes she supports. Kendra always approaches her work with a kind heart and a desire to make a positive impact.
Aside from her work, in the heart of our little County, Kendra simply exists as a beacon of kindness, intelligence and dependability – shining ever so brightly.
Kendra’s down-to-earth nature makes her approachable and easy to talk to. Her warm demeanor and open-mindedness foster a sense of comfort and trust, making every conversation with her an experience that I walk away from feeling better than I did prior to speaking with her.
Kendra is incredibly down to earth, and not to mention so fun to be around.
This year, I was co-hosting an event with the Jeremy Couso and I think Kendra could tell I was nervous. In between numbers, Kendra and her Fiancée, (Armando) whispered to for me to go backstage.
Worried I had missed something, I went behind the curtain and the two of them invited me to a dance party. Be-bopping out of the audience view. It made me laugh. Not taking herself too seriously. Just spontaneity. Just fun, good-hearted people.
Kendra is a great role model for young women, but also for me. She is kind and sweet and smart and everything that makes me love where we live.
