Updated 3:49p.m. Fire officials have cancelled the balance of incoming resources and are transitioning to mop-up on the vegetation fire.

Updated 3:43p.m. According to reports from the scene first-responders have gone to work quickly on the fire. Air tankers originally on order have been cancelled and the fire is expected to be contained shortly.

Updated 3:35p.m. Radio traffic indicates the fire is burning in brush and has burned around 1/4 acre at this time. The updated location of the fire is Wingfield road around 1/2 mile east of the Hulsman Ranch.

3:28p.m. Fire fighters are responding to the Wingfield Road area, near Peter Lassen’s grave for a reported vegetation fire.
Agencies responding to the incident include Cal Fire, Janesville, Standish Litchfield, Susan River, Susanville City Volunteers, CCC Antelope Crew and the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office.
