2:29p.m. Fire crews and emergency personnel are responding to a reported vegetation fire burning in the meadow near Elysian Valley Road in Janesville.
Radio traffic indicates the fire is currently at one-tenth of an acre and burning in heavy downed timber. The blaze is not spreading at the moment but according to a report from the scene it ‘has potential.’
Two air tankers and one helicopter are on order and should be heading towards the fire shortly.
