Lassen College’s Athletic Department will be hosting their annual ‘Back the Badge’ event honoring our local California Highway Patrol, Sheriff’s Office, City Police officers and their families this Wednesday, January 12th.
The evening’s tribute to law enforcement will begin at 7:oo in the LCC Sports Complex, during halftime of the men’s basketball game against Feather River College.
“The college’s athletic department started honoring our local law enforcement approximately five years ago,” explains LCC Superintendent/President Trevor Albertson. “Law enforcement is committed to a profession to protect our communities, and those that live in them, a lot of the times sacrificing time that could be spent with their families.”
“In these trying times, the Lassen College Athletic Department would like to let our local agencies know how much we appreciate them for their service in our community.”
The college is inviting everyone in the community to come be a part of the event.
