The past week has been a blur of intakes and adoptions at the Lassen County Animal Shelter. This week’s spotlight is: Freddy!
Freddy is estimated to be about 7 months old and is eager to get outside and play. He has wonderful positive energy and would make an incredible hiking or camping buddy. Due to the fact that Freddy arrived at the shelter as a stray, staff doesn’t know anything about his background. However, he has done well and played with other doggie friends he’s been paired with in play groups. If there are other animals in a potential new home, staff always recommends a meet and greet to guarantee a good fit.
Freddy will be neutered prior to adoption, brought up to date on his vaccinations, and heartworm tested. If interested in meeting Freddy, or other adoptable animals at the shelter, please call staff at (530) 257-9200. In observance of Columbus Day, the shelter will be closed Monday, October 9th. Regular shelter hours will resume October 10th.
Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
