Lassen College is currently experiencing an exciting chapter in its sports history, thanks to the incredible achievements of the LCC Women’s Volleyball Team.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, let me tell you, I know very little about the world of sports, but I know a great team when I see one, and that is what we have with the LCC Volleyball team.
With a record-breaking season, the Cougar Volleyball Team has cemented itself as a force to be reckoned with, bringing a bunch of school pride and bragging rights to Lassen College.
Led by Head Coach Amy Morris, who is no stranger to success in the volleyball world, the team has already surpassed previous records held by the school.
The Cougar Volleyball Team has not only made history by achieving the most wins in school history, but they have also secured the most conference wins to date.
The success of the LCC Women’s Volleyball Team has not gone unnoticed, with the entire student body and the community cheering them on.
It is incredibly fun to see their matches at home surpass previous attendances, week after week. Watching the girls play every week has been such a cool and inspiring thing.
Our little college, nestled up the hill is making waves across the state, and that is pretty darn cool.
When I’m not watching the girls, bump, set, spike (it seriously amazes me), I love to watch Coach Amy on the sidelines. You can tell she loves the girls, loves the sport, and knows what she is doing.
She has this ever-so-focused, yet confident look on her face when she coaches.
This type of excitement watching the girls compete was such a fun thing to watch unfold throughout the season.
Pearl, of course, now “just has to be” a volleyball player when she grows up, which I’ll admit is a great improvement from play-doh tester. I can only hope that if she does play collegiate volleyball, that she plays for a team that has heart and passion like our very own Cougs. Way to go girls!
