Firefighters and first responders converged on Westwood early Monday morning to fight a residential structure fire in the 200 block of Birch Street which partially destroyed a building and shut down third street for most of the day.
The fire, which is still under investigation at this time, was first reported at around 7:00a.m.
According to an update from the Lassen Office of Emergency Services there were no injuries.
Agencies assisting in this morning’s blaze were; Westwood Fire, Cal-Fire, Clear Creek Fire, Hamilton Branch Fire, Peninsula Fire, Chester Fire, Susanville City Fire Department, Lassen County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, Lassen Municipal Utility District and Lassen County’s Office of Emergency Services.
