Lassen High School Senior Daniel Perry has signed his letter of intent with the University of Iowa to continue his education and of course play baseball.
Daniel says he has been playing baseball since he was able to walk. Watching his 2 older brothers play has always given him incentive to be a ball player. He has always looked up to his brothers. When he saw his brothers sign their letters of intent, that’s when he knew that was what he wanted to do.
The University of Iowa first saw him play in the fall before his junior year while he was playing in Arizona. He has had offers from other schools but chose the University of Iowa because of the great coaches and he will get to play in the Big 10.
Daniel thanks his Dad and Mom for always supporting him as well as his brothers Quinton and Aarason. His biggest thank you goes to God for all of the experiences he has been given. Special thanks to his high school coach Scott Foreman, , Renegade Coach Steve Robertson, Trosky Baseball, and LCC Coach Frank Avilla for letting him use the field to practice when he needed it.
Daniel has one more season to play at Lassen High School and will play summer ball in Redding before leaving for school in August.
