Wildfire Bulletin: Vegetation Fire Burning Near Leavitt Lane

Updated 4:08p.m. According to Lassen OES Chief Eric Ewing the fire has burned approximately 1.4 acres in light brush. Structural damage has been limited to a few fence posts along the roadway.

Cal-Fire, Lassen OES, Susan River Fire District, Standish Litchfield Fire District, Susanville City Fire and the California Correctional Center all responded to the fire.

Updated 3:55p.m. – Scanner traffic indicates that forward progress of the flames have been halted by crews on scene.

3:35p.m. Resources from several agencies including Cal-Fire, Standish / Litchfield and Susan River Fire District are responding to a vegetation fire reportedly burning near the bridge where where Leavitt Lane crosses the Susan River.

First crews in the area report that the fire is small, burning in light fuel with no structures threatened at this time.
