Sheriff’s Office Update: Warrant Issued for Suspect in Shooting Case

The Sheriffs Office is now seeking David Richard Bates, age 43 of Susanville as a suspect in the murder investigation. Bates is a white male adult, 6' 1" 210 pounds with long brown hair and brown eyes. Bates should be considered armed and dangerous. Bates previously absconded from parole. There is a no bail parole violation warrant for Bates arrest. Anyone with information of Bates' whereabouts should immediately contact the Lassen County Sheriffs Office at 530-257- 6121

The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office has obtained an arrest warrant for David Richard Bates, age 44, for Murder/Homicide related to Wednesday’s shooting which left a Susanville man dead.

Bates is described as a white male adult, 6’1”, 210 pounds with long brown hair and brown eyes and should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to LCSO Captain Kevin Jones, Bates has an active parole violation warrant in addition to the arrest warrant for Murder/Homicide.

Anyone with information of Bates’ whereabouts should immediately contact the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office at 530-257-6121.
