The Horse Market
April 9, 1895

Wm. Brockman, the Susanville farmer and banker, returned from California last evening, stopped off here today and will continue his journey north tomorrow.

Mr. Brockman purchased while below a fine imported Norman stallion, whose standard weight is 1,900 pounds. He is a beautiful dapple-grey, standing eighteen hands high.

Mr. Brockman reports that big horses are being inquired for from all parts of the United States, and the horse market generally is looking up.

He says those engaged in the business of horse raising can confidentially expect a fair demand at good prices within the next three years.
