The holiday season is almost upon us and the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce, along with the City of Susanville, are preparing for their annual Magical Country Christmas Celebration which will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, in historic uptown starting at 4:00p.m. on Main Street, which will be closed to traffic for the event.
At 6:00p.m. the Magical Country Christmas parade will start, with floats, dancers and participants moving up Main Street to the tree in front of the Elks Lodge. The big finale of the parade will be the arrival of Santa, the lighting of the tree and fireworks!
There is still plenty of time if your group or organization would like to participate in the parade.
Holiday revelers at the uptown celebration will also get to enjoy live holiday music performances, a hot toddy walk and dancing.
Uptown businesses will be open late, and vendors will line the streets with food, beverages, and custom gifts to help with your Christmas shopping.
The chamber’s yearly Christmas party has become tradition in Susanville, with nearly two thousand people expected to show up to help welcome Santa to town.
There will also be food, drink and plenty of hot chocolate and warm beverages to help warm you up.
The chamber is looking for sponsors for this year’s event. Sponsors will be recognized in advertising and on the event poster.
