If you happened to drive down South Weatherlow towards Main Street last week you might have seen the new mural being added behind Red Hut Pizza. It’s now finished and looks great.
Mitch Martin, Red Hut owner, told us that the rehab of the Red Hut Pizza building was a much needed upgrade. He said, “The neighborhood has taken some image beat downs over the last several years, with long term occupancy issues creating blight and vandalism.”
“The new mural is designed to enhance the neighborhoods character and personality, while honoring individuals like Ben Barker and Ron McBride who have helped revitalize the neighborhood and Main Street corridor through creative and historically relevant projects.”
Martin said that he hopes that other owners and tenants will upgrade and add color, and themes, to our local businesses, and to inject some color and character into our city.
