The Verdict Coffee Shop

The Verdict Coffee Shop has announced that they will officially open at 612 Main Street in uptown Susanville on November 18th.
The coffee shop will serve Stumptown Coffee, crafted with care in Portland, Oregon.

According to the proprietors, the Verdict Coffee Shop will be a cozy, community-focused coffee shop located in the heart of uptown. The shop will serve high-quality coffee from one of the country’s top craft roasters, along with delicious local pastries in a welcoming rustic environment.
The business is quick to point out that they specialize in coffee but will also serve as a small event space for smaller private events. Their retail section will consist of small, local and expanding makers and creators that specialize in ceramics, arts, glass work, soap makers, and wood work.
Lassen Ale Works
Lassen Ale Works is holding its inaugural Pumpkin Carving Contest on Saturday, October 26th. You can sign up in person at the brewery on Johnstonville Road or online at lassenaleworks.com by clicking on the Pumpkin Carving Contest tab.
There are only twenty spots available, and first come is first served, so sign up early. Both adults and children are encouraged to participate.
Contestants are encouraged to bring their own stencils.
Entry into the contest is $25 which includes a pumpkin, carving kit and a 12 oz beer or soda.
First place winner will recieve an exclusive t-shirt, second place gets a $10 gift card and 3rd wins a pretzel.
Pumpkin carving only – no painting is allowed. Winners will be announced at 6:00pm at the brewery, on Instagram and on Facebook.
