ohvftsageblmgrantThe Bureau of Land Management’s Eagle Lake Field Office is inviting public comments on its draft grant applications to the state of California’s Off-Highway Motorized Vehicle Recreation Division. The local BLM office is requesting funds for trail maintenance, law enforcement and operations and maintenance of off-highway vehicle areas. Funds would be used for calendar year 2015.

An open house to discuss the OHV grants will be held Thursday, February 20th, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., at the Eagle Lake Field Office, 2950 Riverside Dr., Susanville. Participants will have the opportunity to suggest areas or programs for using grant funds.

Information on the applications is available Marisa Williams at the Eagle Lake Field Office, (530) 252-5303.

The grant applications, along with those from other BLM field offices, will be available online March 4th at www.ohv.parks.ca.gov.

Comments on the applications must be submitted by close of business April 7th to the OHMVR Division at www.ohv.parks.ca.gov to be considered along with the grant request.

The OHVMR grants and cooperative agreements program supports well-managed off-highway vehicle recreation in California by providing financial assistance to cities, counties, districts, federal agencies (including the BLM), state agencies, educational institutions, federally recognized Native American tribes and nonprofit entities.
