The Lassen County Farmers’ Market, the only certified market in the county, is currently welcoming vendors to sell local produce, eggs, meats, cottage produced goods, and crafts.
The 2016 market season will begin June 4th and occur each Saturday, 8:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., through September 24th.
The weekly market is held at the Historic Railroad Depot, 601 Richmond Road and is a fun and easy way to sell your products and services, advertise your business and interact with the local community. Spaces are available for the whole summer and on a weekly basis for those whose products are limited by the growing season.
Did you know it is easy to become a market vendor?
Vendor packets can be viewed online at www.lassenlandandtrailstrust.org or drop by for a visit at the Trust’s office in the Historic Susanville Railroad Depot.
All past and potential new vendors are invited to an orientation meeting on Monday, April 11th at 6:00p.m. at the Depot. At this meeting, we’ll also discuss the possibility of moving the market to Pancera Plaza in the future and creating a Farmers’ Market steering committee to oversee market operations.
There are many benefits to our community observing first-hand where their food comes from and how it is produced – plus, it’s healthier and tastier too! By eliminating packing, shipping, and wholesale costs, both producers and consumers save money and it’s a fun way to meet friends at the market.
There is always something for everyone at the Lassen County Farmers Market, which is EBT and WIC friendly.
Please contact Laura Medvin, Farmers’ Market Manager, at (530) 257-3252 or (530) 310-4556 if you plan to attend the April 11th meeting or email her at [email protected]
