A new phase in Caltrans District 2’s major roadway improvements on Highway 139 north of town begins today and motorists should plan for delays and intermittent closures during construction.
According to District 2 Public Information Officer Kurt Villavicencio, emergency access will be maintained for emergency vehicles during this phase of the project, which is expected to last for six to eight weeks.
It will be important to plan ahead and travel accordingly.
These closures will be from north of Spring Ridge Rd to the BLM Shooting Range.
Skyline Drive and Spring Ridge Road will not be impacted by the closure.
Schedule:
• Weekday Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 11:30a.m. and 12:30p.m. to 4:00p.m.
• Open to Traffic: 11:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. (with traffic control)
• Nights/Weekends: One-way traffic with signal ~ 3 miles north of Spring Ridge Rd
• Delays: Expect significant delays throughout the project area
