Lassen College’s 2021 LVN Cohort Passes Big Test En Masse

Congratulations to all 16-members of Lassen Community College’s LVN 2021 Cohort for passing their NCLEX on their first attempt.

What is an NCLEX you might ask? NCLEX, which stands for National Council Licensure Examination, refers to standardized tests that nurses need to pass in order to become either a licensed practical nurse or a registered nurse.

In order to become licensed, nursing hopefuls must have an approved nursing degree and pass either of the tests.

This step is important, according to the college, as it provides states with a way to independently verify someone’s nursing knowledge and to gauge their ability to safely practice as a nurse.

“This is outstanding news for our little nursing program and will support our future growth,” the LCC Nursing Program posted in social media. “This success speaks to the perseverance and drive of our students as well as the tenacious passion of our instructors and their restless dedication to our students.”

“Congratulations to each and every one of you, you are already amazing nurses. Welcome to the nation’s most trusted profession and thank you for a job well done!”
