Susanville Church of the Nazarene Advent Series will be held on December 17, 24 and 31. Susanville Church of the Nazarene Advent Series every Sunday through the month of December. 1825 Spring Ridge Drive.

Lassen County Fairgrounds Festival of Lights. December 8th-10th, 15th-17th, and 22nd – 25th. This magical drive-thru journey of twinkling trees, sparkling lights, and festive characters is a family-favorite tradition. Participation is free, and the best displays win cash prizes.

VFW, Veterans of Foreign Wars William Davidson Post 2381 presents Saturday Breakfast. April Through December from 0800 hours to 1100 hours at the Veterans Memorial Hall. VFW Post 2381 will be serving breakfast on the 1st Saturday of each month. Breakfast is open to the public. Breakfast will be held downstairs in the Veterans Memorial Building in Susanville.

Lassen County Fair. This is your last chance to get your tickets to Jeremy McComb’s Christmas, Cowboy-Style Tour at the pre-season price. This must-see Christmas event features Christmas music, Cowboy Poetry, and a steak dinner for $50 (a minimum of two tickets is required per purchase). Free Photos with Santa at Banner Health Clinic located at 1680 Paul Bunyan Road, Susanville. Friday, December 15th from 5:30 to 7:30p.m., and Saturday, December 16th from 10:00 to 2:00p.m. Please bring your phone or camera for a free magical photo opportunity with Santa. There will also be a food, blanket and coat drive from November 015th to December 31st at Banner Health Clinic, Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00p.m., to support our local families this holiday season. Feel free to bring a donation when you come to meet Santa.

The holidays are upon us, and the Lassen County Fair Holiday Craft Fair is just around the corner. Friday, December 15th from 4:00 to 8:00p.m., and Saturday, December 16th from 9:00 to 2:00p.m. Featuring photos with Santa. Vendor applications available now. Pick up your vendor applications today.

Santa is coming. That’s right. Santa’s Village is coming to Susanville Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and we can’t wait to see him. Saturday, December 16th, 1:00 – 4:00p.m., free photo with Santa, write a letter to Santa, hot chocolate, cookies, and more.
December is here and it’s time for the 6th Annual Big Bike Giveaway. Susanville Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram have 25 bikes to give away this year, all the kids have to do is color. You can find pictures to color at The InterMountain Newspaper or Susanville Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. What is needed to enter, any colored holiday picture, child’s name, child’s age, boy/girl bike, parent’s Full name, parent’s phone number. All entries are due by December 16th. Winners will be contacted the following week. Santa is coming to the dealership December 16th – the perfect opportunity to drop your entries off.

Johnstonville School 6th grade is hosting a breakfast with Santa on Wednesdays, December 20th. Breakfast runs from 5:00-6:00p.m., before the Winter Concert. This is a fundraiser for the 6th grade camp. Come enjoy a pancake breakfast before the program and see Santa. Tickets are $8 per person or $25 for a family of four. Tickets include 2 pancakes, a sausage link, and your choice of milk, water, or coffee. Pre-sale tickets available in the Main Office, check or exact change only or from Sara Farris – Computer Tech/Librarian. Limited tickets at the door.

The Susanville Symphony Presents: A Magical Christmas, on December 22nd and 23rd. Audience sing-a-longs, special soloists and more bring you closer to your family and to the holiday spirit that encapsulates this beautiful area we live in. Friday, December 22nd at 7:00p.m. and Saturday, December 23rd at 2:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Church, 60 S. Lassen Street. Tickets will be available at Lassen County Chamber of Commerce and Margie’s Book Nook.

The thought of Christmas break with your school kids at home all the time driving you crazy? Amy’s Corner is hosting a Kids Winter Art Camp on December 27th through 29th. $35 total for all three days. Send them to a fun and educational winter art camp. Limited space. 4-6 years: 9:30 to 11:00a.m., and 7-12 years: 1:00 to 3:00p.m. Class Schedule: Wednesday, December 27th: Acrylic on Canvas Gnome and Part 1 Air Clay, Thursday, December 28th: 4×4 Snowman and Oil Pastel Snowman, and Friday, December 29th: Air Clay Final, Final 4×4 Snowman and Tempura Painted Night Sky. Join Lassen Library for story time and craft day in December. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11:00a.m. Tuesday the 5th, Craft Day and Wednesday 6th, trains story time, Tuesday 12th craft day and Wednesday 13th snowman story time, Tuesday 19th, no craft day and Wednesday 20th, no story time, Tuesday 26th, no craft day and Wednesday 27th no story time.

Lassen Youth Fastpitch Softball Registration is $90, $10 off for siblings. Early bird signups is $80 only thru January 16th. Dates January 5th and January 16th, time 5:00 to 7:00p.m. Regular signups. Dates February 1st from 5:00 to 7:00p.m., and February 17th from 10:00 to 12:00p.m. All signups will be held at comfort inn breakfast room. Signups close February 21st. Must be 4 by January. 1, 2024.
