The 8th Annual Spring Home, Garden, and Outdoor Recreation Show is being planned for Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Entry forms are now available on our website www.lassencountychamber.org . Business that falls in the home, garden, or outdoor recreation categories are encourage to participate in the show. This event is a great way to promote your business, an average of 1500 people attend the show each year. For more information contact the Chamber office staff at 257-4323.
The Chamber board of directors is accepting applications to fill a board vacancy. Chamber members interested in representing the business community and sharing their time and talents by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. The Board is seeking candidates who have business experience, community involvement, and the desire to represent the interests of the local business community. Be sure that the Chamber’s information center has an adequate supply of your business cards and brochures on hand to promote your business throughout the year. This is a free marketing service that is available to all Chamber members.
The Business and Career Network’s 2014 Job Fair will be held Saturday, April 12th, from 9am to 12pm, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Businesses can meet and immediately interview job ready applicants, and create an applicant pool for future hiring needs. Contact Terri Haynes at 257-5057 if your business would like to take part in this year’s job fair.
The Chamber has partnered with Spring Hill Press to produce an updated Lassen County area map. Â Spring Hill Press representatives will be contacting area business to discuss various ad sizes and prices available thru this month. In addition, a link will be added to the Chamber website with an online map that will display your advertising, contact information, link to your website, and business location on the map. The map is one of the most requested items from visitors as well as from new residents. Call the Chamber office if you have any questions regarding the map project at 257-4323.
