Standout former Lassen High basketball player Miranda Langenhorst has been named to the Cascade Collegiate Conference 2017 All-Conference team along with two other members of her Northwest University Eagles, according to NU Sports Information Director Al Kawashima.

Langenhorst, a 6-2 post, was voted to the All-Conference first team by the league coaches and is one of only two sophomores earning first team honors. Charmaine Bradford, a junior and Mariah Stacona, a sophomore, earned honorable mention recognition.

Leading the Eagles in scoring with an 11.7 ppg average, 14th in the conference, Langenhorst was just one rebound short of averaging a double-double pulling down 9.3 rebounds per game, second in the conference and was third in blocks with a 1.7 bpg average.

According to Kawashima, Langenhorst totaled 11 double-doubles this season and was an astonishing No. 12 in NAIA Division II in offensive rebounds per game with a 3.889 average.

“We are really excited and proud of Miranda, Mariah and Charmaine for this recognition,” said Ken Crawford, NU head coach. “It reflects the hard work and effort they and the rest of the lady Eagles have put in this year. The most exciting thing is they will all be back for next season!”

Good job Miranda!
