Lassen J. V. Softball is off to a good start with a record of 7 and 1. Lassen traveled to Redding to play in the Enterprise tournament on March 21 and 22. Lassen played Enterprise on Thursday, March 20, and came out with a lopsided win. Lassen’s top hitters: Garyn Harlan with a 2 for 2 night with a three run home runs and 4 rbi. Julisa Rodriquez picked up the win with 5 innings of 2 hit ball. Halley Mullen was 4 for 4 with 6 rbi, and Amanda Bowles 2 for 3 with a pair of rbi. On Friday, Lassen started the tournament with Willows winning 3 to 1. Callie Wemple picked up the win going six innings, giving up 2 hits, while striking out 9. Garyn Harlan had her second home run and two rbi. Jenae Larson had a pair of rbi. Lassen beat Trinity 18 to 1 with Halley Mullen picking up the win, giving up one hit and striking out 4. Lassen’s top hitters:Garyn Harlan 2 for 3 with 2 rbi and Julisa Rodiquez 2 for 3 with a pair of rbi. Lassen played Enterprise for a second time, coming out on top with a 12 to 11 win. Callie Wemple picked up the win. Lassen’s first game on Saturday was against the Red Bluff Spartans with Callie Wemple winning the close 5 to 3 game. Lassen played West Valley with West Valley winning another close 4 to 2 game. Halley Mullen picked up the loss. Lassen was lead at the plate by Julisa Rodiquez 1 for 2 with two runs scored. Lassen played at home on Monday, March 25, and won both ends of a double header by scores of 16 to 2 and 17 to 3 against Quincy. Lassen’s next games are Friday, March 29, against Willows.
