Lassen Varsity Baseball began league play with 2 wins against Central Valley at home on Tuesday March 19, 2013.
In game one Lassen beat CV 8-1. Pitching for Lassen were Garrison Collier and Jarrell Cunningham. Garrison had 9 strike outs, 2 walks and gave up 3 hits. Jarrell had 2 strike outs.
At the plate for Lassen Daniel Perry had a triple a base hit and 2 RBI’s, Colby Chavez and Joey Beck each had a base hit and an RBI, Garrison Collier and Logan Loflin each with a base hit.
In game two Lassen beat CV 8-4. Pitching for Lassen were Ryan Sharpe and Colby Chavez. Ryan had 4 strike outs, 1 walk and gave up 5 hits. Colby had 3 strike outs, 1 walk and gave up 1 hit.
At the plate for Lassen Colby Chavez had a triple, a double, 2 base hits and 2 RBI’s, Daniel Perry had a double a base hit and 2 RBI’s, Ryan Sharpe 2 base hits and 2 RBI’s, Jarrell Cunningham and Logan Loflin each had 2 base hits, Tyler Winn had a base hit and Joey Beck had an RBI.
Lassen JV also swept CV 9-4 and 7-6.
The JV team plays at home on Friday while the Varsity travels to CV.
