Continuing a traditional that is more than three decades old, the Lassen County Cattlemen and Cattlewomen will host one of Susanville’s premiere events this Saturday, the annual ‘Taste of Beef, Sip of Wine’ fundraiser, with proceeds helping to support the good works done by the two groups throughout the year.
The evening includes mouthwatering beef appetizers, hand picked quality wines and a silent auction packed with some incredible items.
Attendees will enjoy hand-selected premium wines, champagne and locally brewed beer.
Known as one of the must attend events of the year, the beef and wine tasting event is scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30p.m., this Saturday, February 8th, at the Susanville Elk Lodge.
At this year’s event a $50 beef certificate will be awarded for the attendee dressed in the best “old west dress.”
The band Timeless will play at the Elks Lodge from 9:00 until midnight.
You must be 21 to attend and tickets are available at the Lassen Chamber of Commerce or from any Cattlewomen. Tickets are $30 per person presale or $35 per person at the door. The Cattlewomen only sell a limited number of tickets so get yours early.
Proceeds raised from this annual event support local youth activities, scholarships, beef promotion and ag in the classroom.
