LMUD Again Switching to Alternate Power for PG&E Maintenance

Lassen Municipal Utility District will be switching to an alternate power source again tonight while PG&E shuts down transmission lines for maintenance.

According to LMUD Assistant General Manager Doug Smith, at approximately midnight tonight LMUD will disconnect from PG&E and ‘island’ with Honey Lake Power.

This will be the second time in a week that LMUD has switched to an alternate electricity supplier, the first time was Friday night when the change was seamless for customers of the utility.

Tonight’s transition is also expected to go smoothly and unnoticed by customers.

Please check the LMUD web site, www.lmud.org for up-to-date news regarding this planned maintenance. You may also sign-up for LMUD’s text alerts by texting the letters LMUD to the number 69302. For more information, please call LMUD’s customer service line at 530-257-4174.
