April 11, 1952

An estimated 1,000 Lassen county children competed Sunday in the annual Susanville Lions club Easter egg hunt at the fairgrounds.

Approximately 2,100 eggs had been hidden in the barns, and 200 prizes were awarded to the finders of prize eggs.

In addition, the club offered prizes to winners of the foot races which followed the hunt.

James R. Warner, president of the Lions club, made the awards, and Ash Hoffman served as master of ceremonies.
