Highway Building Planned by State
April 30, 1946
Susanville is in line for a new $16,000 highway patrol building, according to state Sen. J. L. Seawell.
His letter says in part: “Being a member of the state public works board, I will have to pass on the allocation of funds under the state postwar construction act. I find that there has been allocated toy our community an appropriation in the amount of $16,000 for a new highway patrol building in the city of Susanville. I am happy to advise that as a member of this board, I will recommend that this appropriation be granted. “
No further details about the proposed location, design and possible time of starting have been released.
