Delegates Pour in from All Parts of State for Conclave
August 4, 1926

With more than 1600 delegates to the California Department convention of the American Legion at Susanville which opens tomorrow, registered last night, the Legion Memorial building was thrown open for the first time with appropriate ceremonies tonight. Pretty Lassen County girls escorted the visitors through the building during the house warming.

Allen Bixby, department commander of the Legion and Guy Poulson, grand chef de gare of the 40 and 8, arrived here last night and State Adjutant James Fisk, who came in today, opened temporary department headquarters in the new Mt. Lassen hotel.
