Local Area Revitalization Project Co-Op Announces Youth Agriculture Scholarships

The Local Area Revitalization Project Co-Op has opened applications for its 2026 Youth Agriculture Scholarships, designed to support agricultural experiences and education for local students.

Funded through proceeds from the Lassen County Grown Harvest Hootenanny, the scholarship program aims to invest directly in the region’s next generation of agricultural leaders. During the 2025 cycle, more than $4,000 was awarded to nine local youth.

Lassen County youth between the ages of 9 and 20 who have an interest in agriculture are eligible to apply. Selection criteria will focus on applicant eligibility, motivation, academic and career goals, agricultural knowledge, community involvement and engagement and application clarity.

The application deadline is October 31st, and recipients will be notified and awarded in December.

Eligible youth can submit their applications online at larpcooperative.com/scholarships.
