Good food, good music and a bunch of new historical exhibits helped make the Lassen Historical Society’s annual spring open house a festive occasion despite the bad weather which forced organizers to move the event, originally scheduled for the lawn at Roop’s Fort, into the community center.
The open house, which was sponsored by the Historical Society and the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce, is a kick-off for the museum’s summer season with expanded hours and new displays.
Summer hours for the museum are 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturdays the museum is open from 11:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. For more information about the event call 257-3292.
