The Susanville Police Department has been receiving calls about the theft and vandalism of campaign signs.According to Police Chief Tom Downing the theft or vandalism of a campaign sign is a misdemeanor. He warned that if, “individuals are caught committing such a crime, they will be subject to arrest and prosecution.”
The department asks that if you observe anyone tampering with, or stealing a campaign sign, you call the 24 hour dispatch line at 530.257.2171. You can remain anonymous if you wish.
