Officers from the Susanville Police Department responded to Tri-Counties Bank located at 2641 Main Street Tuesday morning, June 14th, at around 10:00 after the department received a report that an armed robbery had just occurred.
“Upon arrival,” explained Lieutenant Matt Wood, “officers contacted bank employees who reported that a male subject had come in and demanded money from one of the tellers, claiming that he had a gun, although no actual firearm was seen.”
The suspect then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen heading eastbound on Main Street.
According to Lieutenant Wood the suspect was described as a white male in his sixties wearing a dark colored baseball cap and a red, white and blue jacket. The suspect was approximately six feet tall with a thin build.
An extensive search of the area failed to locate the suspect, including a search of Walmart after it was reported that a subject matching the suspect’s description was seen entering the store.
Further investigation by the Susanville Police Department identified the suspect as 59 year-old Susanville resident Randy Hall. Hall remains at large and his current whereabouts are unknown. Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to contact the Susanville Police Department.
The Susanville Police Department would like to acknowledge and thank the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, CalFire law enforcement and U.S. Forest Service law enforcement for their assistance in this incident.
