An apartment fire on North Roop Street in Susanville this morning has displaced several persons; initial reports indicate that 6 families are impacted.
At the request of local fire officials, a Disaster Action Team of the American Red Cross is en route to provide assistance.
According to Disaster Program Manager Eric Kiltz caseworkers will assess the needs of the families and are prepared to help them find temporary lodging and replace essential items such as clothing, food and prescription items.
