Roberta E. Kolos
Long time Susanville Resident Roberta E. Kolos (96) passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 3, 2021, in Klamath Falls, OR. Roberta was born July 30, 1925, in Twisp WA to Alice and Charles Kerr. She grew up and lived in Washington State until 1982 when she moved to Susanville. In Susanville, Roberta worked as a certified aide at Susanville Convalescent Hospital until her retirement.
Roberta loved taking day trips, spending time with her friends at Eskaton Manor and most of all spending time with her family, reminiscing and telling stories of her childhood and anything else in between.
She is survived by her eldest son Mike Makee (Donna), four grandchildren- Shelly Makee (Radley Shipes, Jr), Stacy Makee Allen (Gabe), Megan Makee Sanchez (Rolando) and Thomas Makee. Three great grandchildren Meka Lokey, Zayne Allen and Kaylani Sanchez and one great-great granddaughter Alaya. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended loved ones.
She was proceeded in death by her husband John Kolos, an infant son Dennis Makee, adult sons Robert Makee and Gregory Makee, siblings Charles Kerr, Bertha Thomas, and twin brother Lester Kerr.
