Rooster John Waltman passed peacefully in the arms of his loving parents at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco, CA, on November 16, 2022. Rooster was born at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital on August 17, 2022, weighing 5lbs 12oz. Rooster is the son of Thad and Cody Waltman, of Standish, California. Rooster was a brave warrior that battled an Arteriovenous malformation.
Just a day shy of 3 months, here on Earth he touched many lives with his bright eyes and big smiles. He was loved deeply by family, friends, doctors and nurses.
Rooster is survived by three siblings, Royce, Mesa and Rayken. In addition to his parents and siblings he is survived by maternal grandparents- Steve (Juli) McMurtrie of Inyokern, CA and April McMurtrie of Inyokern; Paternal Grandparents- Bill and Raelene Waltman of Standish, CA. Great grandparent; Mitch McMurtrie. Uncles and Aunts Dalton McMurtrie, Amy McMurtrie, Dr. Riley (Dr. Paul) Diehl; Tammy Burris, Trina (Jeff) Purcell. He has several great aunts, uncles and cousins. Rooster is preceded in death by his sister Poppy Jean.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Pumps Building 472-205 Johnstonville Rd Susanville, CA on December 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Reception/potluck to follow.
