A call of a suspicious person in the Lake Forest area early Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a 48-year old Lassen County resident for multiple drug offenses.
“In the early morning of April 19th,” said Lassen County Sheriff Captain Kevin Jones, “Deputies responded to the Lake Forest area on a report of a vehicle whose occupants appeared to be looking into residences.”
Deputies located the vehicle and contacted the driver, identified by authorities as Eugene Stewart, near Main Street in Susanville.
According to Captain Jones, while contacting Stewart their investigation revealed he was in possession of a large amount of money and possessed various illegal drugs.
Stewart was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine for sale and transportation of methamphetamine. He was booked into the Lassen County Jail and later posted bail.
