Susanville Man Charged with Burglary, Petty Theft and Possession of Stolen Property

policedepartment3A 20 year-old Susanville resident was arrested on multiple charges Tuesday after officers from the Susanville Police Department pulled him over for driving on a suspended license and found stolen property from several local theft cases in his vehicle.

On the afternoon of March 25th, at around 3:00, officers from the Susanville Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a car in the 2000 block of Ash Street.

“During the course of the investigation pursuant to the traffic stop, officers confirmed that the driver, Brenton Sullivan of Susanville, was driving on a suspended license,” explained Police Lieutenant Matt Wood. Officers also found Sullivan to be in possession of stolen property linking him to several local theft cases.

Sullivan was taken into custody and booked into the Lassen County Jail on multiple charges including one count of second degree burglary, two counts of petty theft, three counts of possession of stolen property, one count of illegal use of an access card and one count of driving on a suspended driver’s license.

Sullivan was held on $60,000 bail and multiple charges have been referred to the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
