It is with great sadness that the family of Thelma Eleanor Hildebrand of Janesville, California, announce her passing on October 13, 2024, at the age of 74.
Thelma was born on January 26, 1950, in Needles, California to George and Thelma Gregory. Thelma was a 1968 graduate from Needles High School. Thelma married Robert (Bob) Hildebrand on June 21, 1969. The two shared 42 years together, moving to Susanville, California in 1978. Thelma worked several years at Thrifty Drug before obtaining her CMA and later her LVN nursing license. She worked at Northeastern Health Clinic until retiring in 2014.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Marci Cobb and son-in-law Casey Cobb, her sister Linda Gregory of Chicago, and sister-in-law Laura Gregory as well as her beloved nieces, Paula, Shannon, Jennifer and Stephanie. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert, her brother Russell and both parents.
Thelma truly loved life and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She had a great sense of humor and loved cooking and traveling.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday November 2, 2024 at Fink Funeral Home in Susanville with a gathering to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of one’s choice in Thelma’s memory would be appreciated. Thelma will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
