Thieves made off with cash from the safe after smashing glass coolers, restaurant equipment and cash registers at the Little Caesar’s Pizza Restaurant on Main Street in Susanville sometime early Tuesday morning.
Officers from the Susanville Police Department were dispatched to the eatery at 1820 Main St. on a report of a burglary shortly after 7:00a.m., Tuesday. When they arrived officers learned that someone had smashed the front glass door of the business sometime after 11 :30 the previous night.
“Investigation at the scene shows that the suspect entered the store through the glass in the front door,” said Chief Tom Downing, “and vandalized many of the pizza warmers, soda coolers and registers before leaving the business with cash taken from the safe.”
The Susanville Police Department is actively investigating leads in this case, and are seeking the assistance of the public.
