SusanvilleStuff Assistant Editor Melissa Blosser visited the fire camp at the Lassen County Fairgrounds Sunday afternoon, and met some of the men and women who have traveled to Susanville to fight the 250,000 acre Rush Fire, burning just north of the Honey Lake Valley.
The fire camp moved to the fairgrounds from Litchfield this week, and it is also in transition as NorCal Team 2 will be transferring the command of the Rush Fire to the Northern Rockies National Management Team at 6:00a.m. Monday morning.
Crews awaiting their turn on the fire line came from as far away as Maine and Hawaii.
