This weekend the Susanville Symphony will present concert performances of ‘America: A Portrait of Music’ featuring American compositions and you could win a pair of tickets right here on SusanvilleStuff!
Conductor and Artistic Director Ben Wade will lead the symphony musicians, and the audience, through the history of American music with notable composers who helped develop our country’s unique sound.
Video of some of America’s most recognizable national parks will accompany the orchestra as they perform a variety of red, white and blue music; from Copland’s Lincoln Portrait and Dvorak’s New World Symphony to pieces from newly discovered American composers and a surprise from George Gershwin.
