The Susanville Symphony will host its annual outdoor Courthouse Concert this Saturday, September 19th, at 5:00p.m. on the lawn of the historic Old Courthouse, located at 220 S. Lassen Street in Susanville.
This year’s performance features the Susanville Rock Orchestra Experience, delivering an energetic evening powered by driving guitars, dynamic percussion, and the bold sound of live brass. Concertgoers will hear classic rock hits from legendary artists such as Elton John, Chicago and Journey.
“Pack your favorite picnic, bring your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a fantastic late summer evening of music with the Susanville Symphony Rock Orchestra Experience,” said Symphony Artistic Director Ben Wade. “One of my favorite summer traditions, the symphony will return to the old courthouse lawn. This event brings our community together with unforgettable performances and late summer ambiance.”
Wade noted that alongside timeless rock favorites, each concert this season will feature at least one patriotic piece in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary. Taking the stage will be local musicians Ben Wade, Craig Harris, Teddy Hernandez, Joan Hernandez, Derrick Noah, Heather Blevins, Jared Ramsey, JR Johnston and Victor Del Llano.
Community members are invited to gather with family and friends, spread out blankets or lawn chairs, and pack their favorite refreshments for a night of live music under the open sky.
Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased locally at Margie’s Book Nook or online through the Susanville Symphony website. Children aged 17 and under are admitted free with a paid adult.
