The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, January 9, 2014 for the annual board retreat/planning meeting that will be held, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Diamond Mountain Casino in the hotel conference room. The retreat is held annually to review the prior year and plan for the coming year.
Thank you to outgoing President Jessika Johnson, Eagle Lake Village Director, for her service to the Chamber this past year. Congratulations to new officers for 2014 President Kathie Garnier, of Axia Home Loans and Vice President Matthew Pregill, of Pregill Insurance. Jeff Trump has submitted his resignation from the board as he has taken a new position out of the area and will be relocating by the end of the year. We thank him for his dedication and 15 plus years of service on the board. The board is accepting applications to fill the board vacancy. Chamber members interested in applying can stop by the office to pick up an application.
2014 labor law posters have arrived. If you have preordered a poster you can stop by the chamber office to pick up your reserved copy. Businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. If you did not order a poster but would like an updated copy for your business, limited quantities of extra posters are available for purchase at the Chamber office.
The Chamber has partnered with Spring Hill Press to create a new Lassen County area map. Spring Hill Press will be making advertising opportunities available beginning January 16. Call the Chamber office if you have any questions regarding the map project.
