An unseasonably cold weather system moving across northern California and Nevada today will bring showers and much cooler conditions.
Temperatures will remain cool today with highs only in the 50s.
As the trough passes tonight… light winds and clear skies will result in unseasonably cold temperatures with widespread lows in the 20s and 30s.
A hard freeze is likely in Sierra valleys… with a few hours of below freezing temperatures for typically colder valleys of western Nevada.
Attention should be given to protect plants and animals sensitive to cold temperatures.
