Personal-use firewood permits are now available for wood cutting on the Lassen National Forest, offering local residents both online and in-person purchase options.
Permits are priced at $2 per cord, with a minimum purchase of 10 cords ($20 total). Most funds generated from firewood permit sales are returned directly to the forest to help support the continued implementation of the fuelwood program and the Lassen National Forest Fuelwood Strategy.
Purchase Online
Permits can be purchased online using a credit card through December 31st by visiting epermits.fs2c.usda.gov. Buyers must print their permit and wood tags at home before heading out into the forest.

Traditional firewood permits remain available for purchase in person at local Forest Service offices:
