Roxie Fire: 07/25/18 Wednesday Evening Cal-Fire Update

7:02p.m. Update

Firefighters worked to improve containment lines and extinguish hot spots Wednesday on the 250-acre Roxie fire burning near Roxie Peconom campground west of Susanville and according to Cal-Fire have the blaze 55% percent contained.

Cal-Fire Public Information Officer Leah Sandberg said that firefighters will continue their containment efforts throughout the night to ensure fire lines are secure.

No structures have been destroyed. One injury was reported by Cal-Fire but no details were provided.

At this time there are no further evacuations and no road closures.

The cause of the fire, which is burning 6-miles west of Susanville, is still under investigation.
