Duane Headley, 88, of Susanville, passed away peacefully at Banner Lassen Medical Center on Wednesday April 9, 2014 with his family by his side. Duane was born in Westwood, CA on January 8, 1926. He moved to Susanville in 1949 where he resided for sixty five years.

Bennie Francis Rapacon, 64 died Saturday at his home unexpectedly. He was raised in Vallejo California before moving to Lassen County in 1994. Bennie enlisted in the US Army, serving in Vietnam. He was an Air Borne Ranger and proud recipient of the Purple Heart Medal of Honor.
