Ed Susanville Variety Show Takes the Stage Tonight

Tonight, and tonight only, it’s the incredible, spectacular Ed Susanville Variety Show! The Lassen County Arts Council annual event showcases some of the most talented Susanville folks you have ever met, in what the show’s host Doug Sheehy calls, “A great variety show with dancing acrobatics, comedy and a nice mix of music.”

How much talent can you fit into one evening? The lineup at this year’s show will feature classical piano from Dennis Roberts, amazingly talented fiddle player Tallon Sandoval, The Mamas and the Papa, country sounds from Jason and Christal Wheeler, an authentic Brazillian Samba from the band ‘Its Us’, the Blue Garter Band, the Susanville City Rockettes, Seanne McElrath, Lee Asnin, Tom and Linda Braun, Team Fear and Stone and Straw. Wow!

Sheehy returns this year as master of ceremonies, taking the stage tonight at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall. Doors open at 6:30, the show begins at 7:30 and there will be a no-host bar.

General admission tickets are $15 at the Arts Council Gallery on Cottage Street, Margie’s Book Nook and The Health Nut. There is limited seating so make sure you get there early! For more information you can call the Arts Council today at 257-5222.

The annual fundraiser benefits the The Lassen County Arts Council and their mission to promote awareness of the value of the arts and directly supporting arts programs and education for Lassen County children and the community.

The Lassen County Arts Council offers the community a variety of services and programs including concerts, gallery exhibits, art classes and performances. The organization also provides opportunities for artists to meet, exchange ideas, perform, sell and promote their talent.

In addition, the Arts Council continues to pursue a wide array of arts in education programs.
